[You can get an A-1 for a song these days. Well, ok, a medley. I
plan to add one! Then it will be: FTbN, A-1 and Elan 7. Maybe
someday a 1v.]

This is pretty much me, too. My Dad used/still uses Canon, and I got
my first FT from him lo these many years ago. Had an SRT-101 in there
somewhere, and that was a nice camera, but I got another FT when the
first was stolen. When the 2nd FT was stolen, my insurance company
got me EOS equipment as the nearest match. I'm very happy with my
Elan 7 and have been steadily upgrading the "kit" (28-135, Tamron
20-40, EF 50/1.8), but I just recently went out and replaced my FD kit
again! This time an FTbN and 4 prime lenses. All for less than what I
paid for my 28-135, and the glass is tops. I'm stuck on Canon for
sure.

( Although I used to lust over these neat little compact manual
Pentaxes. ;-) )
