Depite what many pundits here would have had us believe
1) Full frame sensors are not impossible - they were working on them
all along
2) The "focal length multiplier effect" (sic) is not an advantage -
it's just clipping

Agreed, but to make a full frame CMOS is much less expensive and one reason
(I did not say the onnly reason) why Canon has moved in that direction. The
rebates on a camera like the EOS-3 are usually done to move equipment. In
many cases it also means a newer body may be in the offering shortly.
