> Is this for real? What kind of a remark is that.
A reflection of how I feel it will be percieved by gadget freaks?

;o)

> I guess suddenly D60 started taking worse pictures????
> There is a huge market for D60/D100/S2.
I'll give you a clue: no.
The 1n still is as good as it was before the 3 before the 1v
My old 1970's Fujica manual still produces pictures as good as the 1n
... it's just less cuddly to use ;o)

> Geez, why the need to make such comments????
Turn this on head and you have an even more revealing question:
"Why the need to get upset about someone saying something about a
camera?"

That is the real thing to think about.

A camera is a tool. Where does all the bolleaux about "pro" and "am"
come from (Canon's marketing Dept????).
In real life pros still use whatever tool is fit for the job: EOS
50s, EOS 5 ... it's being task centred not equipment centred. Is some
areas of pro photography "image" is a huge part of the package: not
the quality of the photos but being seen to have the latest. A D60 is
an amateur's camera today - the big boys will be buying the big toys.

When it comes to the crunch though - will the photos be any better
than they could have produced with lesser cameras?
