But even if they did include a 32MB memory card, how many 10D buyers are
going to stay with it? The flash cards that I've gotten bundled with digital
cameras are now sitting at the bottom of a junk drawer, assuming I even know
where they are.

Almost anybody who buys a 10D is going to spend $150-$250 on 512MB or 1GB of
flash or microdrive regardless of whether the camera is packed with a
make-believe CF card. Canon was right to omit a mini flash card that would
be used in only 5%-10% of cases. It helps them get the price of a capable
camera down within reach of more people.
