Odd as it may be for some, but the cropping factor is why I have not bought,
nor plan anytime soon to buy a DSLR.  I will probably buy the first 6 MP or
better full frame under $2k.  Or not if they don't come out.  System will be
irrelevant.

A low end EOS 3 equiv, that gets maybe 4 fps, with full frame 6.3 would be
awesome.

One can only dream.

I don't think so. The 10d replacement might have more pixels but
likely other improvements like ECF and Spot metering.

I like the 1.6 and will buy my next camera with it.
