My local camera shop sells a lot of used equipment and
normally pro-level film bodies were pretty thin on the
ground, and when they arrived, they would sell pretty
quickly.
Lately however, I've been watching the collection of
EOS 1, 1N, 1nRS & 1V & Nikon F5, F4 & F100 bodies grow
and grow, with very few going out the door. Their
prices are a fair bit higher than what they fetch on
eBay, so that accounts for some of it, but it's a big
change from even 6 months ago.
Low and mid range film bodies are also sitting there
longer too, and I believe that they've now stopped
accepting trade-ins of used film bodies anymore as
they can't sell them.
EOS and AF Nikkor lenses still seem to still be
selling at their usual rate.... The older MF-only
fitments (e.g Canon FD) and Minolta AF lenses (etc)
that can't be used on digital are gathering dust
though....
Cheers
Gary
