The panasauraus does warn you not to use a "heavy" camera, and defines
heavy as 3 pounds I think.  It really seems geared towards the small
point and shoot crowd, but at $100 for a head and software, it is also
an appealing bargain.  The gigapixel guy talks about the lightness
problems in his review.  I am certainly willing to give it a try, and if
it doesn't work out then it will have been a good "starter" head that
can be replaced by a better head.
