The panasauraus does warn you not to use a "heavy" camera, and defines heavy as 3 pounds I think. It really seems geared towards the small point and shoot crowd, but at $100 for a head and software, it is also an appealing bargain. The gigapixel guy talks about the lightness problems in his review.
