This might be a big one: According to the Bob Akins site "It has an 8.0MP sensor, not the same 8.2MP sensor as is used in the 20D."
So your image quality might be different. Never might the ruggedness issue, the use of the much more common BP-511 battery, the QuickControl dial, etc..
