It's really easier than you may think.
1. Do you mind carrying a heavier lens? If yes, get the F4.
2. Do you need extra stop, F2.8? If yes, buy the F2.8 IS
3. Will handhold the lens and shoot in low light much of the time? If
yes, then you will need the F2.8 IS.
