Forget the lens... tell me about the quiet mode personal function(please) Jeff
PS I only have fast L glass and it is worth it (I shoot a lot of natural and low light when I am not doing studio work) - and the 70-200 IS is a great lens, I am always impressed with its sharpness and its contrast - though be forewarned: it is a heavy lens and the 1D family are already heavy cameras (but I love it anyway and using it always brings me happy returns).
