I am looking at the new Rebel XTi. Its performance is very similar to the 30D. It lacks the spot metering, the 5fps, 1/8000s shutter and the 1/250s flash sync. Besides that the two cameras seems to be almost identical. The XTi even offers more pixel, the self-cleaning sensor, and a $300 lower cost over the 30D. Unless you need any of the above mentioned shortcomings is there any reason why I still might want to buy the 30D over the Rebel XTi?
