Not correct.  The PB E1 has only the AE Lock button.
The PB E2 has AE Lock, FE lock and focus point
selector. The E2 also has it's own main dial by the
vertical shutter release. I'm pretty sure the E1 does
not. The added controls were the biggest improvement
of the E2 (along with faster max film advance speeds
on the 3 and 1V).

BUT, and its a big BUT, the EOS 1N doesn't have the
interface to use the extra buttons, so only the AE
Lock button works with that camera anyway. The E2
offers no advantage with a 1n, so save your money and
get the E1.
