Allan: Take it to any auto generator repairshop . It can be checked there. It would be to your advantage to thake the generator also as they work together and the problem could be in ether one. By the way I have a 35 amp generator of a 90 HP with a regulator which I understand is in good working order if you need it. It's a Delco Remy Model 1101898. Good luck it most likely only need to be adjusted.
