Kostas,
I'd urge you to actually check the pitch of the propeller. What you describe is consistent with a C-85 using a super-cruise pitch prop at 7152. The C-85 can't spin such a prop fast enough to cruise fast unless the plane is very light and climb is pitiful unless the plane is very light. Your first post did say that your prop is supposed to be a 7148 but unless you've checked it, I'm still suspicious of the prop. I would recommend the 7148 pitch unless you fly in a mountainous area where a 7146 would be useful to enhance climb. My 2-hour Google search found no websites giving instructions on how to do the propeller check. I don't think it's too hard with the prop off the aircraft and with adequate mathematics. But any websites telling the procedure are buried under a huge mass of stuff that comes up in my searches. (I did read a bunch of fascinating stuff which is why it took me two hours before I gave up.) Can anyone point all of us to a reference that tells how to check propeller pitch in the field? Ed
