Don't think that this addresses Pete's original question as to the overall quality of the show. A good example of this is trey 7/4/01 (see below). The show has 'pa problems' throughout - while this is all documented, the problems still exist. What makes the show 'dank'? (I hate that fucking term) - the 'danksters' seem to use this as their criteria:
Show is tracked well YES Show plays seamlessly YES Show has no dae gens YES Show has lineage provided YES Show has not been unneccesarily resampled YES Show has no diginoise or dropouts YES I have listened to this show all the way through, It is flawless and is DANK and deserves to be circulated YES If this is the only criteara that is being used then what's the point? 99% of all sources/shows have the potential of passing this. A show with PA problems is still just that, a show with PA problems. should it be considered 'dank'? d1t03: ~1:47 3 clap sounding noises in left channel, d1t03: 4:03 clap d1t08: ~0:46, ~0:48, ~0:52 pa noises?, d1t08: 6:30?, 6:46 pa hiss normal error rates on da-p1 d1t11: 0:35, 1:23 PA noises d1t11: 1:45 lo end thud d1t11: 2:07 pa issue? d1t11: 4:23 slight pa noise d1t11: 6:43 pa d2t01: 2:22 pa d2t01: 3:27 pa d2t02: 0:32 pa d2t02: 1:04 tick d2t02: 2:32 pa d2t02: 3:02 pa d2t02: 9:13 left channel click, clap? d2t03: 0:04, 0:06 claps d2t04: 1:11 pa d2t04: 10:13 clap d2t05: 1:38 pa d2t06: 3:01 pa d3t02: 0:28 left channel tick, clap? > >Actually Pete, dankseeds goes to great length to find, >transfer and review the 'best sounding' recordings >(take 'best souding' with a grain of salt as it's >always subjective.) >There are frequent 'Hey, Joe's Schoeps source sounds >better than Steve's Neumanns' and so on.
