Hmmm, my charger has 2 inputs (110V and 240V cords) and a double pole, double throw switch marked 110/240. It is also easy to find double pole, double throw relays which can be powered when the Pilot signal is detected, so the normally closed contacts carry the 110V to the charger.
For a *production* vehicle (presumably with warranty and possibly leased) the best option is to secure the cord when charging in a spot that it can be taken. I'll assume this is a product I can buy from you, and its component either you will sell or know how to get. And my thanks to Lee, I will go for the 'complete' configuration. It is really good to know that I can add a level-1 5-15 inlet to a plugin, and not 'have-to' leave an expensive L1 EVSE vulnerable to vandals. {brucedp.150m.com} - On Sun, Feb 23, 2014, at 12:50 PM, David Kerzel wrote: > Safe dual inlet connections to use J1772 and NEMA 5-15 inlets > http://modularevpower.com/Wiring/J1772%20and%20NEMA%20wiring.htm - -- http://www.fastmail.fm - Send your email first class _______________________________________________ UNSUBSCRIBE: http://www.evdl.org/help/index.html#usub http://lists.evdl.org/listinfo.cgi/ev-evdl.org For EV drag racing discussion, please use NEDRA (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/NEDRA) _______________________________________________ UNSUBSCRIBE: http://www.evdl.org/help/index.html#usub http://lists.evdl.org/listinfo.cgi/ev-evdl.org For EV drag racing discussion, please use NEDRA (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/NEDRA)
