Hmmm, my charger has 2 inputs (110V and 240V cords) and a
double pole, double throw switch marked 110/240.
It is also easy to find double pole, double throw relays
which can be powered when the Pilot signal is detected,
so the normally closed contacts carry the 110V to the charger.

That's another good solution. There are lots of ways to solve this problem. :-) People have been selling things with dual 120/240v inputs for *many* years.

For a *production* vehicle (presumably with warranty and
possibly leased) the best option is to secure the cord
when charging in a spot that it can be taken.

Or put a "Danger - High Voltage sign on it. Or make it look so ugly that no one would want it. Or add some frayed wires on the surface with a novelty "shocker" connected to them.
