Thanks to all for the responses. Going forward I guess I'll pay the extra to get automotive terminals. I don't really like this because that ties me to an odd product. If one battery fails it will be very difficult to replace.
For now, I'll just keep checking to make sure they're tight. Casting terminals or welding seems to be unknown in my area.
