The maximum amperage of my system is 500 and it typically doesn't exceed 300.
Would studs and lugs usually work for that?

The studs are meant for golf carts, that only draw around 75 amps average, and peaks of maybe 200 amps for a few seconds. I have tried using the studs in my EVs, and found them unreliable. So I wont' use them.

But, others have managed to make them work. If that's all you have, and don't want to change, and everything is done perfectly, you can get by with them. Just watch out for warm or hot terminals. Once one melts down, it's a devil of a job to fix.
