I did a bit of this with the pack in my tractor, ending up with the stud
posts (yeah, I was not happy).  I'm guessing the tractor pulls maybe 200A
max and runs lighter cables than an EV.  Being cheap, I got big hardware
store eyelets for lugs, used four strands of 10 gauge wire for each cable
(same area as the originals, crimped with a hammer crimper), and attached
the eyelets to the posts with SS flat washers, Belleville washers and nuts.
 I tighten the nuts until the Belleville washers just flatten.  That
doesn't feel like it's tight enough, but they've been in place with no need
to re-tighten for a few years now.  They never get warm.  This is in a
vehicle with no suspension that bounces around a lot, though the 4-wire
cables are much more flexible than 2/0, which helps.
