Of note, Nissan added a heat-pump to the 2013 and improved the HVAC controls to allow control of the heater. On 2011-2012, the heater would turn on and pre-heat the coolant loop regardless of setting unless you completely turned the whole HVAC off. (Which quickly results in fogged windows, so not really an option)
