That's not how I interpreted our discussion--you weren't just asking "why",
but making positive arguments as to why our knowledge of quantum physics
should cause us to definitely reject the "block time" idea, and I was
countering those arguments in a point-by-point way. My argument is not that
we *must* accept block time (it's ultimately a philosophical issue that
can't be definitively settled by physics), just that you are wrong to say
that there is anything in QM (or relativity) which poses an intractable
problem for an advocate of block time.
