I think one of the great sources of evil in the world is religion and the attitude that so many people take without thinking that of all forms of human activity religion should be the one and only one that is forever immune from insult . Why is it OK to criticize somebody's beliefs about anything EXCEPT religion no matter how brain dead dumb it is? Why does religion always get a free pass? I think it is not only morally acceptable but is morally required to insult some people, and people who are so intellectually dead and so lacking the spirit of exploration that they oppose the construction of the thirty meter telescope are in that category. All religion is imbecilic and all Gods have very low IQ's, but Earth Mother and Sky Father are mentally handicapped even by that very low standard. >> >> one group of people thinks the best way to do that is to "bow down to >> the mountain" >> > > > > Sure, this is exactly what I was suggesting. > Sounds like it to me, that's the group of halfwits you're defending. As for me I solemnly promise that in the future I will give religious native Hawaiians all the respect they deserve.
