I have been using 8.0 here on my main box for about 3 weeks.  It is an
HP Pavilion with an Athlon 900, 128MB RAM, 45GB HDD.

I have to admit that it has been pretty solid for me, as far as lockups
go.  I haven't had a problem with that at all.

The way I upgraded (saved /home, then did a fresh install, restored
/home), has caused me a little bit of grief due to some broken apps, but
by and large, those were trivial to fix.

The one thing that hasn't worked well for me has been the sound.  Under
7.1, the volume controls and sound mixer worked fine, but now something
has broken it.  It seems like even Netscape doesn't bind up like it used
to!  :)
