I am using both IDE controllers on my mobo, primary is the UDMA Maxtor HDD,
secondary is an ATAPI UDMA 52x CDROM. It's run by a VIA chipset for the
K6-series (mine's 233mhz), and the mobo's made by Shuttle (HOT-603).
I took out everything except the video card (Matrox Millenium II) and
network card (I just tried a Netgear 310TX since it's specifically mentioned
as being compatible), and this time it froze right after it started CUPS
during INIT. Could it be a WinBond incompatibility with my printer port? I
don't get it...
I'll try that memtest that someone else mentioned on a newsgroup, assuming I
can get into the console (!!!) and see if my memory is going.

P.S. Anyone have an idea when the 2.4.4 will be released as an RPM? And do
you still compile them with a RPM, or is just a base kernel with all the
modules?
