Use a 17mm wrench to loosen the plug at the bottom of the float bowl. When
you remove the plug, the float bowl will drain. Use a 6mm socket to remove
the Main Jet. With the jet out of the carb look on the face of the jet for
it's size designation. If you are like most of the rest of us, you will
need a magnifying glass to be able to read the size numbers that are etched
onto the face of the jet.

For the Rotax 494 the jets will probably be in the range of 280-360, the
smaller the number the leaner the jet. On the 494 the clutch side jet will
normally be 2 steps leaner than the recoil side jet to get near equal EGT
readings.

All the normal parts outlets (Hi-Performance Engineering
http://www.hiperf.com/ , Dennis Kirk http://www.denniskirk.com , have
available the full selection of Mikuni 6mm Hex jets for about $3 each.
Assembly is the reverse of disassembly.
