I agree this discussion is very important. However, it is CRITICAL that F5 get
its National numbers up RIGHT NOW, or we are wasting our time having this
conversation (I'm not picking on Jay here...I merely used his post to reply to).
Here's the bottom line guys, if F5 drops below 2.5 cars per National race the
BoD is going to expect the CRB to do something about it. There are 70 scheduled
races, and through the first nine races F5 had just 11 entries. Since the
report came out we've had 2 more Nationals with just three F5 entries between
them. That's just 14/11=1.27 cars per race on average. At this rate the class
will fall far short of the total number of entries required to retain its
National status. It is easy to recommend probation when the numbers fall just a
bit short, but if they've collapsed there is little I can do for you.
There are 59 races left in the season. To get to the minimum required number
of 175 entries F5 will have to average 2.7 entries per race from here on out.
There are three F5s signed up for the SFR Double National this coming weekend,
and that is a good start, but you need to keep up that pace for every single
National race remaining on the calendar in order to escape CRB action.
If there is a National in your area that you are not signed up for, and you
want F5 to continue as a National class, then you need to be there. Period.
Dot. End of conversation.
