Thanks Stan, all of us appreciate you thoughts & concerns. I have been very vocal about the decline of F500 for a few years. Perhaps now that the class is facing potential ellimination from National competition we will start worrying & do something.
We have tried to sell our car to move into something else with no luck yet so we will be running Nationals in the Great Lakes division this year. However one of the things I am worried about is the dilution of competition now that the Cen-Div is 2 divisions. We had very good entries for F500 in the Cen-Div of around 6/race but now that we are 2 divisions those numbers will be cut way down with more races in each of the new divisions. Thanks ... Look at S2...40-50 cars have left the country in the past 5 years and no new cars are being built. What do you think will happen to those classes if they fail to make the number? Merge or revert to Regional-only status, that's what. Let's face it, F5 did not get into the predicament it is in because the CRB did not approve a muffler for you (you didn't even ask for one last year, BTW), or because any other single issue did or did not get passed. F5 is in the position it is in because folks quit entering Nationals...pure and simple. It is up to you guys...and the ball is DEFINITELY in your court.
