Yes Stan you are correct in that every race entry will count towards Runoffs status. BUT how about if the entries are diluted because it will be MUCH easier to make the Runoffs & the car count/race falls below National status. It is certainly possible that the total entries might be the same but that the entries/race will be lower. There are actually 2 separate criteria & I think the split of the Division into 2 divisions may well produce the same number of total entries but may also produce lower car counts / race. I bet this will happen in some classes & I think F500 will be one of them.
