I take particular pride in convincing the BoD to drop the old "best 5 of 8 Divisions" rule and revert to a straight-up count for classes to retain their National status. Looking back 10 years or so to classes that either entered probation or came very close to it, the magic number of total entries is about 2.6 per National race.
That means that every entry, even a single one at a lonely National race in BFE, counts fully towards each class' National class total. That means it doesn't matter, from a class survival viewpoint, that CenDiv has split. I know the split is not universally popular, but it does not impact National scoring. We had very good entries for F500 in the Cen-Div of around 6/race but now that we are 2 divisions those numbers will be cut way down with more races in each of the new divisions. Thanks ...
