Hey mick,
Don't let that bother you, that is just the opinion of one person here and
there are many like that in any of the groups, I happen to have a half built
car too and I am not currently a member of the scca either, Living here in
the stressed automotive economy in michigan has put my income under some
stress and something had to go, I had to give up the F500 racing for a while
so I could take care of my family financially first.
yeah I took some offense to the comments also, and im sure there are some
others too as there are a lot of people here that are not members of the
scca and do not have a ready to run car, but if you look at the somewhat
hypocritical post from him you should be laughin about it. tells ya keep
your mouth shut and then publically posts some diggs about your car and an
invitaion to leave (how berating). No one died here and left him in charge.
And im sure this is not the attitude your going to to get from all the
members here.
You'll find a lot of nice people in this group whether its suppliers, other
members, fans etc.
I think if someone has a problem with someone else they outa be using the
single email button and contact the person direct, spare the entire list from
seeing the bs and move on.
Everyone has the right to free speech and to voice thier opinion, but no one
has the right to ask anyone to leave.
thats just my opinion and im voicing it!!!!!

Well, I guess that puts me in my place, as a crew chief, potential
owner/driver and having been involved F5 for the best part of 6 years,
and motor racing for over thirty years I know where I'm not wanted. As
the south so delicately puts it "y'all can kiss my a@@"
And you wonder why F500 is dying, good luck in the future because lord
knows you are going to need it.
I will be at CMP this weekend if anyone would like a sensible, reasoned
discussion about this.

First, let me thank you for temporarily knocking me off my post of
"popularity." Second, if you do not indeed own AND race/autocross an
SCCA "legal" car. . . Or let's be generous and say one legal except for
the motor, to be raced this year. Please leave, or be silent. This is
a list and that is a forum for owners, drivers, suppliers. Having a
part-built non-legal car does not give you permission to berate and
insult our members, and such generous folks as Daryle. An occasional,
tasteful, short comment if you wish. Some shortish data if you get that
600 car going. But you are upsetting an _awful_ lot of folks. Folks in
need of deep, reasoned discussion, not angry diatribes.
Again, please leave.
