In addition we have added flavours witch bring side effects like
loosing your natural taste.

Two year ago my answer would have been: "No, no. Just do TM don't do
anything else, could be that your messing up your spiritual growth
with it !!!
Today I thing, every one has to find out himself, do what ever you
feel drawn to (Ill guess that's what you are doing, right?). 
Concerning TM I am not so sure if it is possible to fix it at all.
