Kelly he has been on fluid since yesterday
and I brought him back today to get more then,
he was very depressed there, and the vet thought
that he was going to cross soon and they called
me and I went to pick him up right away.. when
my hannibal had CRf, I took him to get IV, and
he got so much better in a couple of days ---and
when he crashed for the second time, my vet
thought that it was his time to go, but I did
not want to give up, so I asked her to give
more fluid and he died at the hospital.. I so
wished that he could pass at home where he was
surrounded by his family ---but I needed to try
his numbers were not as bad as Rikkis when he passed..
Rikki was very depressed there.. he wanted to
come home as I promised to him that I would
bring him home... he is very skinny as he has
not been eating for the past couple of days
and I really cant force feed him I tried
but he hates it and makes him sicker what am I
supposed to do? Force things what I want and
ignore what he wants?? (I know that I am going
to try to force feed him anyway because I still
do what I WANT for him though thats not what he wants..)
did you see his kidney numbers Kelly? Its very
hard to reverse when ARF is that profound I
consider myself to be one of the last people not
to try whatever it is out there.. but I also
want to respect what Rikki wants

think that I am not giving him a chance it
makes me feel very sad but sometimes, we
cannot do everything we want to satisfy our
needs but need to respect what our babies want
--- But I am not just going to not do anything
.. I am going to give him fluid at home.. and
continue to give epogen for his anemia and
interferon. And love him as much as I can and
pet him as much as he wants..I want to give him
a quality that he prefers.. ..when an animal is
ready to cross soon,, you know.. I have seen so
many of mine passed.. and I know that Rikkis
time might be approaching.. but I am still
praying for a miracle and if its not him time
yet, I have a faith that he will get better ---

I think that Rikkis kidney has started to shut
down,,I am not going to take him to a vet any
more He wanted to come home and I promised to
him that I wouldnt do anything to stress him
out I want him to be peaceful at home..

the hardest part, Be a detective to help your
vet, What do all these cats have in common food,
bowels, sleeping arrangements, What kind of
homeopathic remedys or even supplements,,
How is Rikki doing?? It is not which symptoms do
not sound like FIP but rather what other
illnesses have the same symptoms. A differential
diagnosis may really need a specialist who can
order other tests your general vet may not even think of,

I think none of the kitties whom she lost
recently to FIP at this past incident was felk
positive (she had sent me the details of every
kitty whom she lost as I was very curious to
find out what happened) -Karen who also lost 6
of her kitties to FIP recently and none of them were felk positive either..
I ended up doing necropaise on Olive as my vet
suggested and it was FIP and I am assuming
that the rest of my babies were also FIP I am
not sure which portion of the symptoms dont
sound like FIP except Rikki I really wish it
was something else.. I have not lost any kitties
older than two years old three were less than
1 year, and Peter was 1.5 years old.. I dont
know for sure if Rikki has FIP and it caused ARF
or not but there was nothing that he could get
into please trust me I would think of all
the reasons to cause what s causing Rikkis
blood work is very similar to Peter though
Rikkis liver is functions are fine I did all
the blood parasite tests on Rikki and it was
all negative what else could it be? I dont
keep any chemicals at all in my house for
cleaning supplies as I get so worried about it
.. if not, FIP what could it be? If you have
any other ideas of the cause, I would love to
look into it..please let me know..
I have two separate houses where I keep my cats
next to each other.. none of the kitties from
the other house (they are all older than 3 years
old and I have not brought any new kitties to
the house for the past three years or so)
When I read about the symptoms (both lab and
clinical) of FIP they are very much what my
kitties have gotten it just attacks differents
part of the body, whether its liver, kidney or CNS

Sally works with FeLV+ cats and kittens. FIP is
much more common in cats who are FeLV+. At one
time it was thought that FIP and FeLV were part of the same disorder.
The cattery situations often involve inbreeding.
I am on the FIP list. I have lost rescues last
year and this year to FIP but they have always
been kittens under 10 months in age.
Hideyo, PLEASE look at causes other than
FIP. Please do not lock on FIP as the only
explanation. From what you have described I
think you need to look at toxins in the
environment, whether cleaning supplies, herbal
or other alternative medicines, something
else. Your situation does not sound like FIP to
me. It sounds like at least some of these cats
may be ingesting a toxic substance. You really
need to do necropsies to get to the bottom of
this. Please, if you keep focussing on FIP, you
may miss a preventable/treatable cause.

FIP, just calici virus or something.. and temp
went down with some homeopathic remedy.. dry FIP
is very subtle .. you think they just dont feel
too good but they usually eat okay thats why its to easy to miss..

multihouse cat household so I am the main part
