-_-;... 'disappearing/reappearing ninja crotch' involving Naruto and
Sasuke sounds like 80% of the other Naruto fanfics in existence...

I think in Suiren the kunoichi have gotten most of the cultural
training already, but not necessarily the 'hands-on training.' Kurenai
most likely started her 'undercover' work when she was around Sakura's
age, though...

Whew! [wipes brow] that's a relief...

[smacks Sasuke] No yaoi for you! Go back to being an emo-panda!

I think Sakura is good enough at getting herself into compromising
situations without _anyone's_ help... and Jiraiya probably wouldn't be
interested in her at all. As has been stated earlier, Sakura doesn't
have what he's looking for -_-;...

I think that, aside from the current, future, and previous chan heads,
all members of the Hyuuga extended family are considered 'branch
house.' There are probably many branch houses, as new ones would need
to be started every time the main house has more than one child. The
husband or wife of the heir would probably come from a branch house,
for that matter.

So there is essentially one family line that controls the entire clan.
That is the only family line that is exempt from the branch house onus
of servitude and the curse seal. I expect there have probably been
times in history when the heir died after all his or her siblings had
been sealed, thus necessitating that a temporary heir be selected from
one of his or her disenfranchised siblings.

The curse seal, incidentally, is the only thing that prevents the
bloodline from being 'stolen,' other than the Hyuuga's famed prowess,
so it's very likely that members of the main house are 'exempt' from
normal service as ninja. Hinata was pretty much thrown away by Hiashi
when she graduated, and given to Kurenai to train, as Hiashi has
apparently decided that Hanabi would be a more suitable air.

Had she not been 'discarded,' Hinata probably wouldn't have joined a
regular genin team, and would instead have been trained directly by
Hiashi. The fact that she's participating in missions at all without
having a curse seal is probably Hiashi's one kindness to his daughter,
since it's certainly a rather dangerous propositon for the clan, and
he would probably only be able to avoid it until he formally declared
Hanabi his new heir.

Indeed... luck, and brute force. Brute force places an unsettlingly
large part in Naruto -_-;...
