I'm glad you liked it. I tried to make it something more people would
like, rather than just your usual retelling. I firmly believe that an
alt uni isn't necessarily a BAD idea if you do it right, but that may
be just because I'm writing one and I want to justify it to myself.

I think the anime shied away from any sort of relationship because
it's really just all about the fighting and YOUTHFUL SPIRIT. Naruto
isn't exactly the most thoughtful story to come down the pipe. I feel
a little weird devoting this much time and effort to a Naruto AU, but
that hasn't stopped people from writing five hundred thousand word
Ranma epics, so I guess I'm actually below average.

I had fun writing Hinata's fight scene, that was the best part for me.
It's pretty heavily influenced by Fight Club, which is always fun,
but it's also more fun, and a change from the usual routine, for one
of the main characters to get their ass kicked rather than using the
new training to show how badass they can be. Not that there's
necessarily anything wrong with that, but AU's are full of traps like
that I have to avoid to keep from annoying the reader.

As far as continuing it, I already have. People Lie is on both my
fanfiction.net and my mediaminer page, and if you scroll through the
chapters, you'll see the latest one is titled Clients Lie chapter one.
It's still a draft, and it's still ongoing, nothing anywhere NEAR
ready to post on the FFML. I'm still trying to get all the issues
straightened out.

I'm really trying to avoid overpowered characters, but I seem to have
made a bit of a mistake, and rather than having overpowered fighter
Naruto, I've got too damned manipulative Naruto. Gotta make him
dumber.
