Heh, out of all the things I've seen posted to the ML, I'd have to say that
500,000 words isn't even close to being epic. ;)

Actually, a 'too damned manipulative Naruto' isn't a bad thing. You really
could go somewhere with that and blur the lines of morality especially with the
Naruto not having learned his lesson at all, (in this case, making friends). I
could see this Naruto doing truly horrible things to innocent people because
the ends justifies the ends (especially in the case of Hinata). Also, his
greatest strength could be his ultimate downfall. This Naruto has the
potential to being a true Greek tragedy.
And for the record this Naruto reminds me more of a creepy cult leader than a
protagonist. Really, I kinda like the different approach.
