While I was lucky enough to visit NZ when coming home from Australia, in
September 72! After two years in Alice Springs, it was an amazing
experience to see the lush green pastures, plus Rain, plus SNOW when we
stayed at a hotel near Mt Cook--the clouds concealed the mountain, but
it was such a thrill to watch the snow gradually whiten the lower
slopes. Altogether we spent 10 days, mostly on the South Island, and I
loved everything except the smell of sulphur in the air when we got off
the plane in Auckland :)
We also saw lots of sheep and lambs, although I didn't register anything
about wool. I've often wondered, though, if somehow, subconsciously,
that sight led me on to spinning....

yarn was supposed to be BLACK, not gray :) and reknit them while
watching A Knight's Tale
