Thanks, Robin.  Yes, Holly -- Robin has it right.  That's what I meant.
What you proposed -- winding on 48 ends in the final section and letting some
drop off -- can work in a pinch.  But those extra ends do tend to get tangled
up with the existing warp if you're not careful.

To illustrate my original
point, let me try some math without knowing your exact project dimensions.
Let's say you're planning for 21.5 inches wide in the heddles/reed at 24 epi.
21.5 x 24 = 516 ends
but your section beam has 2" sections....so, 22 inches
wide or 11 sections
516 divided by 11 = 46.9 
so I'd put 47 threads in the
first 10 sections and 46 in the last section

Clear as mud?

Not Amy here....... but I understood her to
mean that you 
should take your total number of ends and divide them evenly
to fit the sections.
