Hard to tell because Finale only works in Classic and thus will use the old (OS 9) system facilities. In general, you can have as many fonts as you like in OS X. The native "Font Panel" (as seen in Text Edit or Mail) while it does permit custom groupings, is an exercise in frustration compared to what we've had previously. However, I've just heard within the last week that there will be a few new font facilities available for the April release of the developer disc. It will take a while for the APIs to filter down to the application or utility level but basically they will provide the ability to dynamically sense font loading and unloading and adjust the menus accordingly.
