There are a couple in MS Access, which I use all the time. Strangely, they haven't fixed it in the latest versions. Oh. That's not the "AutoComplete," that's just matching the first letter. That is the standard behavior. The big question is: what happens when you hit the V a second time? Does it go to Virginia, or stay on Vermont? It shouldn't be surprised that lots of programs use the extended combo box, because most everyone programming for Windows uses MS development tools. I expect Delphi also supports this, as it's been a feature of dropdowns in Microsoft products since at least the days of Win3.x. -- David W.
