Well, it's not a Windows feature. The AutoComplete for dropdown lists is an extension of the combo box that is included in many MS development tools, but the programmer has to affirmatively decide to use it. You will notice that the dropdown lists in HTML forms (i.e., on web pages) do not have this feature. Even in Microsoft products not all the dropdowns include it. It's a very user-friendly feature, though. -- David W.
