On Mac, can you begin typing the name of the font you want to use and have
it scroll to that point in the droplist (assuming you have a droplist)? On
Windows, when the font window comes up, I can type "t" in the droplist
window and the list begins at the first "t" font. Typing "ti" gets me all
the "ti" fonts, etc. 3 letters and I've got the list narrowed to all the
variants of "Times".

This isn't a well documented feature on Windows, but works with almost all
droplists.
