Yes that is the case.

My answer was sort of tongue in cheek, witness my inclusion of Louis
Armstong and Maurice Andre -- both excellent trumpet tones in their
styles, but I'd hardly like to hear the Bach Brandenburg #2 played with
Louis Armstrong's tone, and Maurice Andre's tone just wouldn't cut it
with All-Stars on a stirring rendition of St. James' Infirmary.
The voices sound like voices -- are they really GOOD voices? Depends on
whether you like them or not. ;-)
