Also, the regulator is separate from the alternator and is mounted to the firewall on the passanger side of the engine. It has a 3 or 4 spade wide, flat connector. I believe the horn relay has a 2 spade connector.
Vince 69 Conv First Generation Firebird-L Mailing List ........................................................................ . The horn relay on my 69 conv is bolted to the firewall between the Brake booster and the fender. Just some short wires going to it right Out of the main harness. Wayne Where is the horn relay located on a 69? My project has several wires coming out by the brake booster and the prior owner labeled them but not clearly. It looks like he wrote "regulator" on them as if they are for a voltage regulator but I was pretty sure the 69 alternator has an internal regulator. Maybe not, anyone know off the top of their head?
