So now I'm thnking that whoever took this stuff apart 20 years ago missunderstood the purpose of the horn/buzzer relay and mistakenly labeled it as regulator (the wires match your decriptin) and that the alternater is actually got an internal regulator. Do you have any idea of whether the alternators that were internal had a plug in on the back or used studs to connect the wiring? Mine has studs.

The horn relay is also the ignition key buzzer. It has one double connector and two single wire connectors. It's on the firewall between the power booster and the fender. Not all 69's had external regulators. My T/A has an integral alternator. I'm not sure if the change was after a certain production time, or performance cars only, or perhaps what plant they came from.
