Like Chris says the original water pump setup is much better.  In my case, I 
could not find one but instead I "clearanced" the impeller to back plate on the 
pump (essentially you hit it with a hammer to get it as close as possible 
without rubbing).  The issue is that the impeller just spins in the water 
without properly circulating it through the radiator otherwise.  Move your hand 
through a pool of water with your fingers spread apart - notice how little 
water you move.  Now do the same thing with your fingers together - you get the 
idea.  This is actually the same technique the "FlowKooler" waterpumps use when 
they rivet a plate on the back of open blade impellers.  Frankly, I think this 
tip is worth more than most radiators, aftermarket fans, etc.
