I talked with a Comp Cam tech rep today about removing the inner springs and he got really excited. Said no ifs ands or buts about it, you have to do. I'm sure the guy was trained to say that but it makes a lot of since considering the stiffness of the 995-6 springs. Anyway, he was helpful and mailed me out a new lock free of charge. Hopfully, I'll find it tonight and won't need it.
