First Generation Firebird-L Mailing List .........................................................................
Wow guys, thanx for all the opinions so far. I am going to try and save a bunch of Emails by not replying to each one separately rather in this one Email: Joe, thanx for your wisdom. I agree the new heads & cam would make great power but as Kelly said they are very expensive and I'd rather put $1000 into a good set of cast heads than $2000 into brand new. $1000 I can spend elsewhere ;-). I Like the "fat bastard" comment by Rick,,,, I wonder who we was referring to?? Kelly, I was gonna try to have a long talk with you about this very subject as you've been there done that. Did you look at porting and removing material from inside your #62 72cc heads or using thicker head gaskets? I think they dished the pistons on the '68 & '69 428's to get the cr down. Sheen seems like you've done about the same as Kelly at around the same cost. So can anyone answer how they made the 360 HP out of the small valve 1.96 / 1.66 87cc #15 heads in the 1970 455's in the big cars? Which cam did they use? I got these HP #'s from a couple of different sites. Angelfire was one. Another was this Wallace racing site. Is it OK to post here? http://www.wallaceracing.com/head1.htm Dion > From: [email protected] > To: [email protected] > Subject: RE: [FGF] Hello and head question. > Date: Mon, 14 Dec 2009 21:27:59 -0700 > > First Generation Firebird-L Mailing List > ......................................................................... > Hey Dion.
