Speaking on behalf of the (so far) lone dissenter, despite cygwin
being listed as a supported platform, there appear to be issues or
incompatibilities with their real life cygwin support.  I haven't
tried it myself.  Has anyone here successfully compiled any SDL apps
with cygwin (recently).
