I'm going to cross post this over to plib-devel.

These shots are of a problem that we've been discussing on the Flight Gear
list. It is illustrative of a problem that has been dogging modelers when
building more detailed aircraft models.

This test object contains 16 vertices. Note that it is small approx 0.03
units "diameter".

The first screen shot is the test case shown in ac3d.

The second screen shot is the same test case shot in ppe.

The third screen shot is a ppe shot of the same model after it was scaled up
in ac3d by 50% (x 1.5).

The fourth shot is the same model in wireframe showing the structure and vertices.

This problem has been narrowed down to ssgStripify, and I'm hoping someone
might recognize what is going on. Maybe it is a fault in the follow logic.
This has been quite a problem with doing detailed models. There are two ways
that seem to make the problem go away: 1. Scaling up as my test case
illustrates, 2. Disrupting the texture mapping in some way. For example
making every other poly alternate between frontwise and planwise mapping.

Best,

Jim Wilson
